Our Supporters

Who has always supported you, and your dreams?

Individuals come in and out of our lives at various times to assist us in our chase of self-improvement. I have had several people show up, and push me. Whether it was listening to my frustrations, or calling me out on my negativity. They were there to support me with whatever I needed in that moment. This week I discovered an author friend had listed my name among others, for supporting their coaching efforts and authoring a book. This discovery was so powerful for me. I never knew my belief in them made a difference. Who supports you and the dreams you are chasing?

Colleges, spouses, and friends step into our lives at the most opportune times to push us, so that we may see our value and worth. They see what we cannot, at times. Their belief in us is without reservation. Why is that? Why do we fail to see our full potential? Often, we become blinded by the efforts we are making, any setbacks, or our own defeating minds.

In the earliest stages of our dreams, these supporters are the sounding boards and the cheerleaders we need. The enthusiasm they provide is powerful. As we make gains toward our goals, we will eventually experience roadblocks. Their continued encouragement continues to push us. When our excitement fades, they reignite the passion we originally saw. When necessary, they are the ones that correct us when we think or act in a way that negatively impacts our dreams.

The best way to honor our biggest supporters is to never give up and keep driving towards our dreams. The next way we must honor these individuals is to either help them in some way or become a supporter of someone else. Helping others pursue their dreams is the ultimate payback for all those who have helped us along with our journey.

Who has been by your side through many difficult moments in your life?

How have your supporters assisted you in your personal development?

How will you honor your supporters by helping someone else?

Having a support system among friends and family will fuel your goals or dreams forever. It takes a lot for this happen, and that starts with vulnerability and trust. Accepting the support of others is powerful, and that is why we must find opportunities to help others achieve their goals and dreams. Thanks for checking in this week and please leave a comment below that will contribute to this conversation.

Steve Bucks

My name is Steve Bucks, and my passion for personal growth and development has been the driving force throughout my life and career. My journey began as a student who faced significant academic challenges—nothing came easily. However, my determination and perseverance sparked a lifelong commitment to learning, improvement, and helping others do the same.

Naturally, this path led me into education. I became a teacher to support students who, like me, found school difficult to navigate. My teaching career began in Texas and continued in Minnesota, where I spent the majority of my years in the classroom and raised my family. Eventually, my desire to make a broader impact led me into school administration. I began serving as an administrator in South Dakota in 2016 and transitioned to Montana in 2023.

With nearly 30 years of experience in public education, I've witnessed many changes—but one constant has been my passion for growth, both personally and professionally. In 2022, I became a Certified Coach and Speaker with the Maxwell Leadership Team, a journey I’ve continued into 2024 and 2025.

Through coaching and leading Mastermind groups, I’ve expanded my reach, helping individuals and teams unlock their potential and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Are you at a crossroads or feeling stuck in an area of your life? If so, I’d love to explore how I can support your journey.
